We are actively exploring ways to get more use from our existing assets and infrastructure.
Some of our busiest freeways are now managed motorways with smart technology such as variable speed signs, ramp signals, travel time signs, vehicle sensors and CCTV cameras helping to respond in real time to what’s happening on the road.
We’re also updating our clearway management policies, using real-time data to support incident management teams and trialling new traffic management technology in known hotspot zones across Melbourne.
