The history of Lindenow Primary School
1870s
Lindenow opened as a common school in 1871. The first head teacher was Walter Murray and the number of students that attended the school was approximately 22. The building made of hardwood palings with a shingle roof.
The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.
A new school building opened in 1874. The old school building was then used as the teacher's residence.
1892
The teacher's residence was removed in 1892.
1914
The school moved to a new building and site in 1914. It could accommodate 120 students.
1970
The school was renamed Lindenow Primary School in 1970.
2022
Lindenow Primary School is still in operation.
