The history of Inglewood Primary School

  • 1870s

    Inglewood opened as a common school in 1870. The first head teacher was Thomas M. Thompson. The school replaced Inglewood Common School (No. 456) on the same site.

    The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.

  • 1888

    Head teacher Thomas M. Thompson left the school in 1888.

  • 1970

    The school was renamed Inglewood Primary School in 1970.

  • 2022

    Inglewood Primary School is still in operation.
