Early Childhood Language Services

Free on-site, telephone and video interpreters are available for all department funded kindergarten services and eligible early childhood support services.

From 1 January 2025, All Graduates Interpreting and Translating (All Graduates) is the new provider of Early Childhood Language Services (interpreting and translation) for department funded kindergarten services and eligible early childhood support services.

If you have not received a Welcome Pack from All Graduates please email de.enquiries@allgraduates.com.au or phone 03 9605 3051 to set up a secure user account and log-in access.

Victorian Government Department of Education funded kindergarten services and eligible early childhood support services can access free on-site, telephone and video interpreters.

All department funded kindergarten services can also access translation services for written information.

About Early Childhood Language Services

The department has engaged All Graduates to provide qualified and accredited onsite, telephone and video interpreters, and translation services for written information.

Early Childhood Language Services can help your service to strengthen engagement with parents and carers who speak a language other than English or use Auslan.

All interpreters are qualified and accredited, where National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) accreditation is available.

Who can use Early Childhood Language Services

On-site, telephone and video interpreters are available for discussions with parents and carers for the following categories:

  • all department funded kindergarten services
  • funded kindergarten services/transition to primary school.

Funded kindergarten services are also eligible to access translation services for written information. Please refer to Translation.

The following early childhood support services are only eligible to access interpreting services:

  • local councils that receive funding from the department to deliver a Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme (CRES) and/or a program to support kindergarten and pre-prep access and participation (including the CALD Outreach Initiative)
  • Access to Early Learning (AEL) provider
  • Safe Haven providers
  • Early Childhood Intervention Services Continuity of Support (ECIS CoS) providers­ Early childhood intervention services for children not eligible for the NDIS
  • ECIS CoS central team (in NDIS & Strategic Projects team) - assessment of applications for ECIS CoS, including contact with parents and carers via telephone.

All Graduates will also provide in-bound telephone interpreting to allow parents and carers to contact a kindergarten or early childhood support service using a telephone interpreter in language. Please refer to in-bound interpreting and guide for families:
