The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) leads a survey program to monitor the performance and outcomes of vocational education and training (VET) in Victoria.
The VSA collects information from Victorian students, and employers of apprentices and trainees, through the annual Student Satisfaction Survey and Employer Satisfaction Survey.
Data collected from the surveys is used to inform improvements in VET that benefit students, employers and the wider community. The results are also reported back to individual training providers.
The surveys were initiated by the Department of Education in 2014. They have been managed by the VSA since July 2021.

Student Satisfaction Survey
Annual survey for government-funded Victorian students who completed their vocational training or discontinued their training in the previous calendar year.
Employer Satisfaction Survey
Annual survey for Victorian employers of apprentices and trainees with staff who completed their vocational training, or were still in training in the previous year.

The annual surveys help the VSA develop performance measures for the Victorian training system.
