The Victorian Skills Authority is supporting the Victorian Government’s new Skills Solutions Partnerships initiative.

The $10 million program aims to equip key Victorian industries with the talent they need to grow and succeed. It also supports connection and collaboration between industry and the education sector to co-design and pilot new training courses that rapidly address workforce skills gaps.

Skills Solutions Partnerships offer:

  • facilitated co-design to bring industry and training providers together to workshop ideas about innovative training solutions
  • grants of up to $1.2 million to develop, pilot and evaluate a new training solution. At the conclusion of the co-design, projects identified as suitable will be invited to apply for these grants.

Priority areas include:

  • clean economy
  • construction
  • digital
  • healthcare and social services
  • manufacturing.

Other sectors will be considered upon application.

Victorian TAFE and dual sector universities and eligible Victorian business or industry groups are invited to submit expressions of interest to participate in the program with the aim of achieving the following outcomes:

  • innovative training products that can be rapidly developed and delivered to meet industry needs
  • access for industry to the workers they need to fill critical skills gaps
  • identification of opportunities for system-wide improvements
  • new skills for Victorian workers so they can find safe, secure and fair employment.
