From establishing project need to securing funding
The process for defining the project and seeking funding and approvals will vary depending on its size and complexity. Use our online tool to classify a project.
Once you understand the project's classification and before seeking funding, you will need to formally establish a need for the project, to ensure it is a strategic priority for the TAFE, the TAFE network and broader stakeholders, including government and industry partners where relevant.
Once a clear project need has been established and approved (including from the COO, TAFE board or relevant board sub-committee as applicable), you may be required to prepare further documentation such as a short-form investment case for less complex, internally funded projects, or a full business case for more complex projects and/or those projects for which you are seeking external funding.
