Keeping our government systems and services safe
Our government systems and services such as websites and online platforms are continuously being scanned by cybercriminals for vulnerabilities. To ensure these assets are protected, our department scans government systems and services to detect if they need to be updated or decommissioned.
We alert the owner of the systems and services and provide details so they can make them safe or decommission them.
Why do we need to protect the vic.gov.au domain?
If a cybercriminal finds a vulnerable system or service, they could access government information, disrupt government services, or use the platform to attack individuals or businesses.
