Focus Species Drawing Competition

Terms and Conditions of Entry

By entering this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Entry to this competition is free.
  1. Entry is open to all children between the ages of 5-10 years who reside in Victoria.
  1. Entries from children under the age of 18 must have adult consent.
  1. Entries close 5pm Friday 8 November (subject to change).
  1. Entries must include a clearly scanned or photographed digital copy of the drawing on A3 or A4 sized paper.
  1. Entries will be judged by the Conservation Regulator and will consider both creativity and accuracy.
  1. The winner will be announced on Friday 15 November.
  1. The winner will receive a one-year family membership to Zoos Victoria for four people (two adults, two children).
  1. The prize cannot be transferred, upgraded or exchanged for cash.
  1. By submitting an entry, you give the Conservation Regulator permission to publish the entrants first name, age, photo of drawing and photo of child (if applicable) on its Facebook page, Conservation Matters newsletter, website and internal communications.
  1. The Conservation Regulator will not retain the details you provide for use in any other communications outside of this competition unless agreed upon between the parties.
  1. Staff from the Conservation Regulator and/or the Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  1. By submitting an entry, you will assign a limited copyright of the artwork to the Conservation Regulator, enabling reproduction of the artwork for public displays and publications (both printed and digital) in conjunction with the competition and for the purpose of publication in printed and digital material promoting the Focus Species program in subsequent years.
  1. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these terms and conditions.
  1. The Conservation Regulator is committed to protecting information provided in accordance with the principles of the Information Privacy Act 2000.
