Subject: 2022 Annual Microsoft Survey
Actions / Critical Dates
The 2022 Annual Microsoft Survey will open Tuesday 23 November 2021 and close Thursday 9 December 2021.
The Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board currently maintains an Agreement with Microsoft for access to licences covering a range of software for desktop, notebook computers and servers by Learn Local providers and Adult Education Institutions delivering pre-accredited programs. Details about the program and the software available is outlined on the Learn Local Sector website and can be found at Microsoft Software Agreement for Learn Local providers.
A requirement of the Agreement is the completion of an annual census (survey) by Learn Local providers and Adult Education Institutions. In 2020, this survey was paused. For the 2022 Annual Microsoft Survey, the ACFE Board has contracted KPMG to explore Microsoft software and product usage, as well as IT capability across the Learn Local sector.
Participation in the survey is required for Learn Local providers who wish to access Microsoft Windows, Office and server standard licences in 2022. Though participation is optional, we strongly advise participation of all registered Learn Locals, irrespective of current software needs, as outcomes from the Census will inform future ACFE Board policy directions in relation to software licensing.
Your response is also necessary for the Department to assess potential provision of additional IT hardware to your Learn Local in 2022.
Any information provided through completion of the survey will be treated in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and the Public Records Act 1973 (Vic).
