Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan
Recycling Victoria will soon be releasing the inaugural Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan (VRIP).
The VRIP is a major step forward in Victoria’s transition to a circular economy. It provides investors with a contemporary road map to guide decision-making on waste, recycling and resource recovery infrastructure over the next 30 years.
Information sessions - infrastructure investment support
Recycling Victoria is holding online and in-person information sessions that will focus on supporting investment in waste, recycling and resource recovery infrastructure.
These sessions will provide an overview of:
- how the upcoming VRIP can support investment, and supporting materials being prepared by Recycling Victoria to highlight infrastructure investment opportunities
- the role Recycling Victoria can play in supporting infrastructure investment and the support we can offer beyond the VRIP in the context of wider government investment support.

Regional waste and resource recovery implementation plans
The VRIP will replace Victoria’s 7 regional waste and resource recovery implementation plans, and the Statewide Waste and Resource Recovery Infrastructure Plan (SWRRIP).
Until the release of the VRIP, the SWRRIP and regional waste and resource recovery implementation plans continue to guide decision making and planning for waste, recycling and resource recovery infrastructure.
