Cladding rectification of government owned buildings

We're working with departments across the Victorian Government to make sure buildings with combustible cladding are safe and fixed where necessary.

What are we doing to make sure buildings with combustible cladding are safe?

Cladding Safety Victoria has been working with departments across the Victorian Government to make sure buildings with combustible cladding are safe and fixed where necessary.

The types of buildings in this program include schools and TAFE colleges, hospitals, residential care facilities, police stations and court houses, public and community housing and sporting arenas and cultural institutions.

Cladding has been rectified on all 130 buildings originally in scope for assistance, equating to more than 50,000 square metres of combustible cladding removed and replaced, protecting tens of thousands of Victorians in the community.

During the last financial year, two additional buildings with combustible cladding were identified, with cladding rectification to be completed on these in 2025.
