Overview
All Victorians should have equal access to safe and inclusive support if they experience family or sexual violence. However, victim survivors from multicultural communities can face more barriers to getting help, which can place them at a higher risk of experiencing ongoing family or sexual violence.
The ‘Working Together’ 2025-2027 grant program aims to strengthen collaboration between multicultural community organisations and specialist family and sexual violence services, so that victim survivors or people using violence from multicultural communities can access culturally responsive, safe and tailored supports.
Working Together is a partnership program, funding partnerships between multicultural community organisations and specialist family and/or sexual violence support services. Partnerships can apply for one or both streams of funding. A separate application is required for each stream.
- Stream 1: Family violence: focused on service system integration with multicultural community organisations and specialist family violence services
- Stream 2: Sexual violence: focused on service system integration with multicultural community organisations and specialist sexual violence services, including raising awareness of sexual violence service support in communities.
Grants of up to $340,000 over two years are available under each stream.
Two-year program grants will commence from January 2025
Applications close 10am, Monday 18 November via the DFFH Grants Gateway.
