Context and Opportunity Statement

Discussion points:

  • Call for social and affordable housing to be
included, there is opportunity within the
    Precinct
  • Flooding will need to be mitigated. A range of
solutions will be considered. May be an
    opportunity for integrated stormwater
    management and passive recreation areas
  • Delivery of infrastructure needs to match
    development plan
  • East Werribee is part of a large corridor from
    Fishermans Bend to Avalon. Enabling
infrastructure needs to be in place to attract
    jobs and development
  • Transport corridors and other plans should be
in place to future proof their delivery
  • Enabling infrastructure will attract and guide
    development
  • There are many projects and opportunities
within the Precinct, multiple projects can be
progressed at once leveraging off the many
    existing assets
  • There will be development and partnership
opportunities for institutes like those on the
    SRG
