How to find a public notice

Find public notices relevant to you and your community.

The Victorian Government publishes public notices on this website to inform communities about events and activities which may impact them. Use the search page to find relevant public notices or see the instruction below for more information.

Find a public notice

Search by keyword

You can search for specific words or phrases to see the public notices which match that search. For example, you could search for:

  • the name of your suburb or local government area
  • a specific topic such as 'planning application'
  • a specific organisation name

Search by publisher

You can search to see only the public notices published by a particular Victorian Government department or agency. Select the department or agency from the drop down menu to see all the notices published by that organisation.

Search by topic

If there's a particular type of public notice you are interested in finding, you can browse just the notices relevant to that topic.

For example, if you want to find public notices about schools, you can select the education category. You can do this by choosing the topic you want to see from the drop down menu.

The public notice categories are:

  • Arts, culture & heritage
  • Business & the workplace
  • Communities
  • Education
  • Environment, water & energy
  • Equality
  • Finance & economy
  • Governance*
