Compliance
Registered agencies must comply with Performance Standards established under the Housing Act 1983 (Vic). The Housing Registrar monitors agency performance and issues a compliance rating.

This is to reflect the recent transition to new performance reporting arrangements whereby registered agencies that own or lease community housing assets are responsible for all performance reporting, regardless of whether another registered agency is contracted to provide housing services. 2023-24 Key Performance Measures
The Housing Registrar introduced new KPMs for 2023-24, including revised definitions and counting rules. See our Servants archive for performance data from previous years.
Reported data relates to all housing types unless otherwise specified.
Re-let time (tenantable) – the average number of days taken to re-let homes that were ready for a tenant to move in.
Rent arrears – rent overdue at 30 June as a percentage of total rent charged during the financial year.
Repairs – the percentage of urgent repairs completed within 24 hours and non-urgent repairs completed within 14 days of receiving a tenant request for maintenance.
Complaint resolution – the percentage of complaints from tenants and prospective tenants resolved within 30 days.
- Servants did not record any complaints in 2023-24.
Tenant satisfaction – registered agencies are required to survey tenants at least once every two years regarding their housing services, consideration of tenant views, and maintenance. In 2023-24, Servants surveyed 94 tenants. 27.7 per cent (26 tenants) of those tenants responded.
