SUBJECT: Professional Development for Adult Literacy and Numeracy Practitioners
Actions: Take up professional learning by contacting Tamsin Rossiter.
There are eight Professional Learning Network (PLN) sessions for completers of the Adult Literacy and Numeracy Practitioner Program (ALNPP) planned for the second half of 2022:
- 30 August 3:30 – 4:30 pm Literacy and numeracy strategies for learners transitioning to TAFE
- 30 August 4:30 – 5:00 pm PLN reflection & networking on the above session
- 15 Sept 3:30 – 4:30 pm Using the Pre-accredited Initial Assessment Kit (PRIAK) to meet needs
- 15 Sept 4:30 – 5:00 pm PLN reflection & Networking on the above session
- 13 October 3:30 – 4:30 pm Phonics for adults: Not a panacea but a tool
- 13 October 4:30 – 5:00 pm PLN reflection & networking on the above session
- 25 October 3:30 – 4:30 pm What counts as literacy? Exploring hidden literacies
- 25 October 4:30 – 5:00 pm PLN reflection & networking on the above session
Also, the Adult Literacy and Numeracy Practitioner Program (ALNPP) Round 6 still has remaining places and it's still possible to undertake the four-hour Koorie ALNPP module.
