About the scholarship

The Victorian Government is offering scholarships to students who are accepted into the 2025 Advanced Diploma of Interpreting program at RMIT University to study interpreting in one of these languages, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Persian, Spanish and Vietnamese.

The Scholarship is to study an Advanced Diploma of Interpreting, which is a one-year, full-time program that begins in February 2025 and finishes in November 2025.

Most of the course activities are delivered online, with some in-person classroom sessions held at RMIT University’s City Campus.

Scholarship amount

Up to $7,880 will be awarded as a scholarship to cover the program fees in full and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) for students in a government subsidised place. For other fee places, students will be required to cover the gap. The specific amount will depend on each student’s enrolment status.

Scholarships will be paid directly to RMIT University on behalf of the student.

Please note: We require a minimum number of participants for each language. In cases of low enrolment, students will instead be offered the option to enrol in the Introduction to Interpreting Skill Set.
