The Importance of the Victorian Early Years Awards

Michelle Ives: I've realised being a finalist for one of the top three, early childhood teachers, how much it is important to get what we do into the community.

We all know that early childhood is important because it sets the scene for the rest of their life.

But we want the community to know too.

Northern Schools were actually nominated as finalists for three different awards.

And on the awards night, they took home two.

So that was very exciting.

Having such awards and putting it out there to the wider community, shows the dedication, how professional we are at what we do.

Yeah, like we're the ones that, are educating the children before they go off to school and the schools and receiving what we've had.

So it's very important to set a really strong foundation so they're successful in life.
