[Male Speaker]

I knew deep down, ever since being a young kid that I really wanted to be a teacher.

WANTED TO BE A TEACHER

[Male Speaker]

I love that process of helping someone become a better version of themselves.

[Female Speaker]

I think a good teacher needs to be someone who can balance the connection with students and building that relationship with a great knowledge of the topic they're teaching.

BUILDING THAT RELATIONSHIP

[Female Speaker]

To be able to differentiate and engage the students in the learning. But also, at the end of the day... make it a great learning experience.

[Male Speaker]

One teacher that comes to mind for me is. Mr Williams

Mr Griggs.

MR GRIGGS

[Female Speaker]

I think he was a chef.

[Male Speaker]

What was so impactful about Mr Williams as a teacher was that he saw some potential in me that maybe I didn't see myself.

[Female Speaker]

He brought that kind of efficiency, but also creativity, to the table which was really exciting.

[Male Speaker]

To me, that is the hallmark of a really outstanding, transformative teacher, and something I try my hardest to replicate in my own teaching.

[Female Speaker]

I think my message to all the teachers out there... What you do matters, I think is so important. Even on the hardest days because we know there's ups and downs. Everything you give in that classroom, and it can really take it out of you, is making an impact.
