Employers can apply to have their existing child employment licence renewed up to 30 days before their existing licence expires.
Renewal applications can be made via our online portal.
Here are 5 tips to help you through that process.
We encourage you to apply for a child employment licence as soon as you can.
This means we can work through any issues with your application, such as missing or incomplete information, and still process your application before your existing licence expires.
The online portal will prepopulate some information based on the information you provided when you first applied for a licence.
Please double check that information to make sure it is still accurate.
You must complete a new fit and proper person declaration as part of the renewal process.
While you can't apply for a licence until 30 days before your existing licence expires, you can download the fit and proper person declaration, complete it and have it ready to go.
Make sure the right person completes the fit and proper person declaration and the declaration at the end of the online renewal process.
The fit and proper person declaration must be completed by a person who manages or administers the business seeking to renew its licence.
The declaration at the end of the online renewal process must be completed by an officer of the business, who is someone with significant decision-making powers in the business, such as a director, a partner or an executive.
Applicants may be subject to a National Police check.
This is done at no cost to the applicant and your information is kept secure and only used for the purpose of assessing your renewal application.
