Katrina: be there
but really be there listen
don't pretend that you're listening or
don't pretend that it's in between
meetings or you know it's in between a call be there
and if you see someone struggling make
sure you're the one that's holding your
hand up to pick them up.

[Which bias would you like to break?]
K: As an aboriginal woman i find it really
hard that there's a bias that they
assume that we're with aboriginal men
and that they're the ones that commit
violence and i'd like to change the
perception of that.

[What did you learn about women in the pandemic?]
K: That it was hard it was really hard
Um as a single woman it was extremely hard
while you're working from home and
ensuring that your kids get the
education i wasn't just a mom i wasn't
just the taxi driver i wasn't just the cook i
was then on top of a teacher which made
it extremely hard.
Text
[What are you proud of?]
K: the person i am today
wasn't the person i was six years ago
and i'm i'm very proud of what i've
achieved and that was because of women.
Text
