MARAM and Information Sharing Week 2024

This year’s theme is Strengthening our family violence shared understanding and practice.

The Department of families, fairness and housing hosted MARAM and Information Sharing Week from 21 to 24 October 2024.

MARAMIS week aims to increase awareness and understanding of MARAM and information sharing in practice.

This year’s theme was focussed on strengthening our family violence shared understanding and practice. The week will include a range of online seminars for the Victorian family violence sector. Attendees will hear from victim survivors, practitioners and service providers about information sharing.

The Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) is a framework for services to identify, assess and manage the risk of family violence.

MARAM in practice: Working with Adults Using Family Violence

This session focuses on promotion of the MARAM practice guidance for working with Adults Using Family Violence (AUFV) How these resources were developed, are applied in practice settings and meaningfully promote the safety of victim survivors.

Embedding lived experience

This session focuses on lived experience about the importance of family violence risk assessments and information sharing.

Hear from Safe and Equals Survivor Advocate and family violence experts. about the importance of family violence risk assessments and information sharing. This event focuses on lived experience and the roles od prevention reflection of MARAM.

Identifying the Predominant aggressor

MARAM and Information Sharing in practice

Join us for insight into how the Victorian Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) and Information Sharing Schemes are applied in practice.

This event will highlight the MARAM Working with Adults Using Family Violence practice guidance which was launched in 2022.

Our panel will share how the guidance was developed and applied in practice settings.
