2024-25 Victorian Langar celebrations

The Victorian Government is helping communities come together to celebrate the Sikh tradition of Langar, a free communal meal promoting unity and inclusivity.

About Langar events

Langar events celebrate the teachings of Guru Nanak, the first Guru and founder of Sikhism. His teachings focus on equality, inclusion and people living together in harmony.

Langar brings together all people, regardless of their gender, class, nationality or faith, to share a free communal meal. The Victorian Government is proud to have provided $600,000 in funding to support Sikh communities to deliver Langar events across Victoria.

Participating organisations

The following 14 organisations across Victoria will host Langar events, welcoming everyone to share a meal and connect with the Sikh community.
