About Langar events
Langar events celebrate the teachings of Guru Nanak, the first Guru and founder of Sikhism. His teachings focus on equality, inclusion and people living together in harmony.
Langar brings together all people, regardless of their gender, class, nationality or faith, to share a free communal meal. The Victorian Government is proud to have provided $600,000 in funding to support Sikh communities to deliver Langar events across Victoria.
