Flinders Street train station lit up at night

Thank you for your interest in lighting up Flinders Street Station.

The Flinders Street Station external lighting system is used to recognise significant dates on the National and Victorian calendars and to support community events. All supported events must align to the values of the State of Victoria and be of collective interest to the community.

The Marketing, Brand and Production team at the Department of Transport and Planning manages all Flinders Street Station lighting and projection requests and bookings.

  • Lighting requests must be submitted a minimum of 30 days in advance of the event.
  • Requests will be assessed in line with the date of submission and with our policy. If there are multiple requests for the same day, priority will be given to the request received first. DTP reserves the right to review requests and make exceptions as needed.
  • All lighting events will have an associated fee, and permits may be required for the lighting of Flinders Street Station.

Please send your lighting request to dtp.brand@transport.vic.gov.au
