Cindy completed her PhD, entitled 'Early Origins of Childhood Neurodevelopmental and Emotional-Behavioural Disorders', in 2023 through the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at The University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
Cindy started 'The Scholar Diaries' on Instagram (@thescholardiaries) and cultivated a global social media following while she completed the final year of her PhD, to document her raw experiences in academia and share her struggles and learnings along the way.
She also uses this platform to educate and inspire the next generation of STEM scholars all around the world and is an exemplary role model to other first-generation students with immigrant parents who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
