The ACFE Board invites Learn Local trainers to register for free professional development on 'Taking a project-based approach to foundation skills development' involving 5 interlinked workshops run by Victoria University, Curriculum Maintenance Manager (VU CMM).
Using a project-based approach to foundation skills development supports adult learning principles by situating learning in meaningful contexts and achievement of quality delivery, a key focus of the ACFE Board Strategy 2020 to 2025.
The VU CMM program involves an integrated process of planning, applying, reviewing and reflecting. This is a valuable opportunity to work closely with your peers to constructively review your teaching practice with the potential to amend or improve practices and approaches in facilitating development of English language, literacy, numeracy, employability and digital skills of your learners. To obtain the maximum benefit, participants must attend all five workshops in the scheduled program:

How can PBL be incorporated into pre-accredited training? |
Participants attending all five sessions receive a statement to support currency requirement in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (SRTOs) or the AQTF Standards. Be quick. Participant numbers are restricted to 25, with a limit of 2 participants per Learn Local provider. Obtain the registration form by emailing nadia.casarotto@vu.edu.au.
