Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am delighted to announce that Ms An Nguyen has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for the North East Link State Tolling Corporation (STC). STC is a Victorian Government business enterprise operating as a commercially oriented toll road owner-operator that supports the wider network vision of a simple, connected, accessible, reliable and safe journey, and contributes to ongoing sustainable investments in the Victorian transport network. North East Link (NEL) is the largest investment in a road project in Victoria’s history. It will complete the missing link in Melbourne’s orbital freeway between an upgraded Eastern Freeway and the M80 Ring Road.

Ms Nguyen is a recognised leader in the Public Private Partnership infrastructure industry, with direct commercial experience of over 15 years in the development of large-scale infrastructure projects, including NEL, West Gate Tunnel, CityLink – Tullamarine Freeway Widening, Western Roads Upgrade and Peninsula Link. Her expertise in toll roads and infrastructure businesses, including associated technologies, will be invaluable as STC transitions to full operation and ownership of NEL in 2028.

The Board is thrilled with Ms Nguyen’s appointment and confident that she will lead STC to great success. Ms Nguyen has been an integral part of STC’s establishment since 2021, serving as the Acting Managing Director. We are excited to support Ms Nguyen as she leads STC into the future. We look forward to the positive outcomes her leadership will bring to the organisation.

Ms Nguyen will officially join STC on 19 June 2023.
