Victorian needs the right people and the right skills in place to support the state's transition to a clean economy.

Strategies and initiatives

Victoria needs the right people and the right skills in place to support the state’s transition to a clean economy. The Clean Economy Workforce Development Strategy 2023–2033 is a 10‑year planning and investment framework to prepare the state’s workforce for a net zero future. It provides a foundation for the training pathways needed to meet the growing demand for skills as Victoria moves towards net-zero emissions by 2045.

The strategy outlines 5 strategic priorities to drive the workforce transition, including a targeted skills model, flexible education and training, and enhanced workforce planning and attraction.
