Professor Jane Gunn AO is a trailblazing figure in Australian healthcare and academia. She is known for her groundbreaking research in women’s health, primary care, and mental health.

Jane is the first female Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. In this role, she has championed inclusion and excellence.

Jane's leadership has elevated primary care research, influencing policy, practice, and medical education. Her work in shared antenatal care, cervical screening, and depression has transformed Australian primary care.

A dedicated mentor, she has significantly increased the representation of women in medicine, academia, and research.

Jane serves on many boards, including:
