At the Collaborative Centre, our shared vision is one of a holistic, responsive system, grounded in human rights and social justice principles, that puts lived and living experiences at the centre of how care is imagined, delivered, and evaluated.
We understand that new approaches to connect the perspectives of people with lived and living experiences, our workforces, researchers and sector leaders are required to reform Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing system.
Our Strategic Plan 2024-2027 is our roadmap to deliver this change over these three years. Shaped through conversations with our communities and partners, it recognises that we need new ways of working to reform our complex mental health and wellbeing system by building trusted relationships; elevating the knowledge and expertise of lived and living experiences; and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and learning.
To do this, we will be aligning our work with five focus areas:
- Connecting people, ideas and evidence
- Translating research into practice
- Providing treatment, care and support
- Strengthening and supporting the workforce
- Building a sustainable and influential organisation.
These focus areas are underpinned by three enabling principles (how we do it):
- We champion lived and living experiences
- We embed human rights and social justice into everything we do
- We collaborate and build trusted relationships.
We look forward to collaborating with our partners and the community to deliver our strategic plan, and to drive positive change across Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing system.
